Kutatásunk során arra vállalkoztunk, hogy megvizsgáljuk, a Felzárkózó Települések (FeTe) programba bevont településeken miért népszerűek egyes családtámogatások. A kutatás során áttekintettük a rendelkezésre álló adatokat, interjúkat készítettünk a településeken dolgozó szakemberekkel és azokkal a családokkal, akik igénybe vették a lakhatásukat – és ezzel együtt az életszínvonalukat – javító lehetőségeket. Az alábbiakban betekintést nyújtunk az olvasók számára a Magyar Máltai Szeretetszolgálat (MMSz) otthonteremtéssel kapcsolatos munkájába, valamint a célcsoport percepcióiról is információkat kaphatnak. Jelen tanulmány a Magyar Máltai Szeretetszolgálat (MMSz) Otthonteremtési munkacsoportjának tevékenységét és a lakhatási támogatások igénylési folyamatával kapcsolatos kihívásokat vizsgálja. A kutatás elsődleges célja, hogy feltárja, milyen szerepet játszanak a munkacsoport szakemberei a potenciális igénylők támogatásában, és hogyan segítik őket a komplex adminisztratív és pénzügyi folyamatok során. A kutatás módszertana félig strukturált interjúkon alapul, amelyek a munkacsoport tagjaival és a célcsoporttal készültek. A primer adatgyűjtés során a szakemberek régióspecifikus lakhatási viszonyokra, a lehetséges igénylők szocio-gazdasági jellemzőire, az igénylési folyamat specifikus nehézségeire, valamint a sikeres lakásvásárlás és -felújítás megvalósítására vonatkozóan adnak betekintést. A tanulmány a célcsoportot pedig az igénylés folyamatán keresztül mutatja be, szemléltetve a felmerülő nehézségeket és helyzetük javulását a támogatások igénybevételével.

During our research, we examine why certain family support measures are particularly popular in the settlements included in the Emerging Settlements Program (FeTe). In the study, we reviewed the available data and conducted interviews with professionals working in these settlements, as well as with families who have taken advantage of opportunities aimed at improving their housing conditions—and, consequently, their standard of living. Below, we provide readers with insights into the housing-related activities of the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta (MMSz), along with information on the perceptions of the target group. This study examines the activities of the Housing Working Group of the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta (MMSz) and the challenges associated with the application process for housing subsidies. The primary objective of the research is to explore the role of the working group’s professionals in supporting potential applicants and how they assist them throughout complex administrative and financial procedures. The research methodology is based on semi-structured interviews conducted with members of the working group and the target group. During the primary data collection, professionals provide insights into region-specific housing conditions, the socio-economic characteristics of potential applicants, the specific difficulties of the application process, and the realization of successful property purchases and renovations. Furthermore, the target group illustrates the emerging difficulties and the improvement of their circumstances through their experiences with the application process and the utilization of the subsidies.
